After five games played in the Nigerian Nationwide League, Lekki United continues to aim for the top as a 1-1 draw was recorded in the last game against Broad City at the Legacy pitch on Tuesday.

Our boys kick off the season with a 4-2 loss to Allifey Football Club but fought back with a 2-1 win in the next three games against TCCG, Synergy Sports and Ablaze respectively in a comeback fashions which blew the fans away especially when they saw the resilience and attitude to fight back at different events.

The club have been able to accumulate 10 points thus far and need our opponents to lose some games and more importantly win the next five games so as to be top the group. Our top player has been Owoyele Michael, he has been outstanding with six goals contribution – 3 goals and 3 assists in the last five games.

The next five games will be crucial and more like a final in the coming days. We’d be facing Gbagada, Robo, Magic Stars, Iganmu and Dannez in the final fixture of the season.

The team that tops the group automatically qualifies for the play offs that will be played in a neutral ground to battle for the promotion ticket ahead of the new season in the Nigerian National League (NNL).
